This morning I was throwing my ingredients in my slow cooker for the BLT Brisket. It calls for 2 Tbsps of honey, but my son is not supposed to have honey until he turns 2. So, I went to a site I use often to search for a honey substitution: http://www.joyofbaking.com/IngredientSubstitution.html
Substituting ingredients is an easy way to make a meal healthier or meet your family's dietary needs. For example, I always swap regular flour for whole wheat flour, or I often swap butter out for olive oil.
